Jan Richardson is a celebrated author, artist and United Methodist Pastor. Each year she offers a Retreat for Women’s Christmas. The introduction to her retreat explains: Whether your domestic commitments are many or few, Women’s Christmas offers a timely opportunity to pause and step back from whatever has kept you busy and hurried in the past weeks or months. We will celebrate Women’s Christmas – A Retreat, on Thursday January 6, 2022. We will begin at 10 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. with a prayer service and communion. You may come for the whole time or a part of the time. This very casual retreat includes some reading, some writing, some art and lots of talking. We will meet in the Youth Center (“The Fish Tank”), located on the 1st floor of the Family Life Center. Please bring your lunch and a treat to share with other women. Coffee and tea will be provided along with a light morning snack. The retreat includes readings and art for the program. Please consider giving a $7 donation to be sent to Jan Richardson for “Sanctuary of Women” and shared with the A21 Campaign, an organization devoted to ending human trafficking and providing sanctuary and healing for those rescued from slavery.
