Worship Services at Duluth First United Methodist Church

Our Worship Services & Authentic Worship

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. Our Sunday morning worship services are the beginning for most people at Duluth First United Methodist Church. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our three Sunday worship services.

Our greeters will warmly welcome you and answer any questions about Duluth First United Methodist Church that you may have. Engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

At Duluth First United Methodist Church we look for God’s love in our lives as the evidence that we have been truly worshipping Him. Authentic worship, central to everything, means learning to recognize God’s goodness while delighting to deepen in our responses.

It is our goal, as individuals and as a community, to unite our actions, intentions, and emotions in loving response to God. It means transforming the ways we think so that what we do and who we are become one—in, for, through, and to the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

A Message to

the Congregation of

Duluth First United

Methodist Church

All worship services and on campus activities at Duluth First United Methodist Church have been cancelled through April 3, 2020. On Sundays you will be able to access online at the Duluth First UMC Facebook page (@DuluthFirstUMC) the following worship opportunities:

  • 9:00 a.m. - Morning Prayer
  • 10:00 a.m. - Contemporary Worship
  • 11:00 a.m. - Traditional Worship.

There will also be YouTube links to videos of portions of this worship such as sermons on the church’s website. You can find these and audio archives of recent sermons by clicking on SERMONS.

Also, from time to time during the week, we hope to include music and Bible studies at these sites. During this time please follow our Children’s Ministry on Instagram (dfumckids) and on the church’s Facebook page (@DuluthFirstUMC) for opportunities for your child’s worship experience. During this time please follow our Youth Ministry on Instagram (dfumcstudents) and on Facebook (Youth of Duluth or @DuluthFirstUMC).

Please watch for updates. During this time of uncertainty, the church office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for your needs. Please call the church office at 770-476-3776 before you come.

Also during this time we want to encourage you to continue give. You can give online at the church’s website by clicking on the ONLINE GIVING. Additional to online giving we have moved the church’s Staff Drop Box to the 1st floor of the Family Life Center, inside the double doors near the 1st floor offices. You can place your church offering there. Most of our ministries and the needs that they meet continue (and some needs are even greater during this crisis).

Please know that our church staff are praying for you. Let us continue to pray for one another and pray for the world. God will provide.
