The Duluth First UMC Missions Ministry is hosting a "Drive-Up Food Drive" food collection for the Hands of Christ Duluth Co-op, a local missions ministry, on Wednesday, June 17th, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). We are excited to offer a meaningful and safe way for your family to serve our community during this uncertain time. We will be collecting a variety of canned, jarred, and boxed goods for the Hands of Christ Duluth Co-op. Critically needed items for June 17th include cereal, canned peas, canned tomatoes, canned mixed vegetables (mixed, lima beans, peas and carrots, carrots, spinach), canned soup (please no tomato - we have 50 cases on hand), canned meat (chicken breast, beef stew, chili, Spam, etc..), pasta sauce, and spaghetti. The Missions Ministry will re-evaluate the need for any additional Drive-Up Food Drives following June 22nd when we expect the church to re-open and worship services to tentatively resume on June 28th. *SAFETY NOTE: In order to ensure the safety of all participants and adhere to CDC guidelines regarding social distancing, we will have one family at a time drive up to drop off their donations. We will have a donation station set up underneath the portico in the back parking lot of the Family Life Center.
