Circle of Security® Parenting™ Program
Wed, Oct 2nd 6pm - 7pm
Room F-148, Family Life Center
Duluth First United Methodist Church 3208 Duluth Hwy 120 Duluth, GA 30096

Do you ever wish that your child came with an instruction manual? Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. Each child is uniquely wired for the holy journey that he or she will travel. As parents, we create the container that holds the emotions, dreams, and development that equips each child for his/her journey. Join us for the Circle of Security® Parenting™ program, based on decades of research, which will guide you to create a container that nurtures a secure connection between you and your child — a connection that supports the foundation that can lead to a lifetime of health and happiness. This program is for parents with children ages 4 months through 5 years. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program will be led by Lynne Smith, who earned a B.A. in Spanish and Economics from Furman University (1988) and a Master of Divinity from Emory University Candler School of Theology (2006). Lynne was ordained a Deacon in Full Connection in the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church in 2009. She facilitates educational workshops and works to support communities of faith as they nurture the wellbeing of the families that they serve. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program will offered on Wednesday nights, September 11th through December 4th, from 6 to 7 p.m. in room F-148, located on the 1st floor of the Family Life Center. The cost is $40 per person. The registration deadline is Sunday, August 25th, and the program is limited to 12 participants. To register, please contact Rev. Beth Brown Shugart by e-mail at bshugart@duluthumc.org, or call 770-476-3776, ext. 128.
