Youth Summer Mission Trip: June 7th - 11th

The youth of Duluth First UMC are excited to share about our summer mission trip! The Gainesville Aid Project, from Wednesday, June 7th to Sunday, June 11th, is a mission opportunity in the Gainesville, Hall County area. Students and adult leaders will serve those needing home repairs, wheelchair ramps, lawn care helps, etc., during the days and will participate in group activities, games, and worship around the circle in the evenings.

There is no charge for students to participate in this summer’s mission trip, and the registration deadline is April 30th. Please note we have eight slots available for this trip and it will be first come, first served basis. We will need some adult volunteers to accompany us on this trip. Please let us know if you would like to serve as a chaperone/driver on this mission trip. To register, please visit us on our website at dfumcstudents.org/mission-trip.  For more information, please contact Rev. David Burchett by e-mail at dburchett@duluthumc.org and Min Lee by e-mail at mlee@duluthumc.org.

Wednesday Night Bible Study begins on August 17th.

Parent Connection Group: Meets Wednesday Evenings

Every Wednesday evening, parents of all ages are meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. in room F-206/207, located on the 2nd floor of the Sheldon Family Life Center, to discuss issues and concerns dealing with parenting in our world today from a Christian perspective. This is an open discussion group and everyone is invited to join us.

It takes a village to raise our children in a Christ-like way in our culture today, and we are building this group to serve as a place to receive support from other parents, advice and ideas from “more experienced” parents, and a reminder that you are not alone in what you are going through. For more information, please contact Rev. David Burchett by e-mail at dburchett@duluthumc.org.

We Need You!

Youth - We need YOU to make Youth Group a success, after all that's why it's called Youth Group.

Parents and other interested adults - We need YOU to make youth group a success.  We are always seeking new counselors to join the A-Team or to chaperone events.

Please contact David Burchett (Director of Youth Ministries) and/or Min Lee (Associate Director of Youth Ministries) by e-mail or phone if you would like to help with our youth or if you have any questions about any of these events/programs.
