Our Worship Services & Authentic Worship

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. Our Sunday morning worship services are the beginning for most people at Duluth First United Methodist Church. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our three Sunday worship services.

Our greeters will warmly welcome you and answer any questions about Duluth First United Methodist Church that you may have. Engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

At Duluth First United Methodist Church we look for God’s love in our lives as the evidence that we have been truly worshipping Him. Authentic worship, central to everything, means learning to recognize God’s goodness while delighting to deepen in our responses.

It is our goal, as individuals and as a community, to unite our actions, intentions, and emotions in loving response to God. It means transforming the ways we think so that what we do and who we are become one—in, for, through, and to the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Installation of Sanctuary’s New Light Fixtures is Begins August 1st

On August 1st, the installation of the new LED light fixtures in the Sanctuary will begin. This will be a three-week project and the Sanctuary will not be available for use during that time.

On those three Sundays the main entrances to the Sanctuary will be closed due to construction safety restrictions. You will be able to enter the church buildings through:

  • the main entrance to the Fellowship Hall;
  • the main church entrances located at the Atrium;
  • the back entrance to Hinton Hall located near the playground;
  • the rear entrance to the Family Life Center.

The 10:30 a.m. time for fellowship and coffee on Sundays August 4th, 11th and 18th will be held in the back of Hinton Hall prior to the morning’s 11:00 a.m. joint worship service.
