Senior Fellowship: Friendly, Outgoing, Caring, Loving...

in Ministry to one another and the Community!

The senior adults of our congregation have many gifts and talents to offer to the church and the surrounding community. They are active and encouraged to participate in all aspects of the various ministries of the church. They are a vital part of the ministry of the church and are truly an asset to the surrounding community.

The Roadrunners (Trips especially for Senior Adults)

The Roadrunners to Visit the Governor’s Mansion: July 16th
The Roadrunners will visit the Governor’s Mansion on Tuesday, July 16th. The Mansion, a three-floor, 30-room, Greek Revival style home built in 1967, stands on approximately 18 acres in northeast Atlanta. It was designed by Georgia architect A. Thomas Bradbury and officially opened on January 1, 1968. The house covers 24,000 square feet and has a total of 30 Doric columns around the porches. All of the furnishings in the house are considered to be museum quality and makeup one of the finest Federal Period collections in the United States. The group will tour the first floor rooms which are used for official entertaining.

The Roadrunners will leave the church’s front parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and return back to the church by 3:00 p.m. The cost of the trip is $5 per person for gas money. Lunch on your own will be at a local popular restaurant. Please make your reservation for this trip at the Senior Fellowship gathering on Tuesday, July 9th. For more information, please contact Ann Reifert at 770-622-8081 or Bonnie Tinnell at 770-476-8680.
