Music

Glorious God, source of joy and righteousness,

enable us as redeemed and forgiven children

evermore to rejoice in singing your praises.

Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts,

and what we believe in our hearts we may practice in our lives;

so that being doers of the Word and not hearers only,

we may receive everlasting life through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Chancel Choir,the primary worship ensemble for traditional worship, is open to anyone high school age and older who feel called to serve through music. No audition is required. A desire to praise God, commitment of your time, and an open heart are required. New members are ALWAYS welcome! Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7:15 to 9:00 p.m., August through June. A nursery is provided.

Chamber Chorale, an extension of the Chancel Choir, is an auditioned group of singers dedicated to bringing unique-quality, sacred literature to our community. The group sings throughout the year for worship, is the primary choir for our once-a-month evening prayer services, and prepares Lenten- and Advent-season concerts in alternating years.

Women's Ensemble meets Monday evenings, 7:30-8:30 p.m., mid-August through mid-May. We have a great time singing a wide variety of music, and sing for worship several times during the year. Nursery is available.

Men's Ensemble meets briefly following the Chancel Choir rehearsal Wednesday evenings. We sing music in a variety of styles, but southern gospel is our favorite.
