Holy Week & Easter

Maundy Thursday Worship Service:  April 18th
Join us in the Sanctuary on Thursday, April 18th, at 7:00 p.m. for our Maundy Thursday worship service. Maundy Thursday is the Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter. Maundy, from the Latin mandatum (commandment), commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles and institutes the Lord’s Supper, Eucharist, or Holy Communion. “Do this in remembrance of me.” Childcare will be available.

Good Friday Service:  April 19th
As we conclude our Lenten journey this year at our Good Friday service on April 19th, we will experience the writings of Julian of Norwich (1342-c.1416) through anthems, hymns, spoken meditations, and prayers in a work entitled Light in Deepest Night. The service will begin at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary with Rev. C. Kay Fuino presiding, and music will be led by the Chancel Choir.

Childcare will be available.

Easter Worship Services: April 21st
Sunrise Service:
6:45 a.m. on the Fellowship Terrace
Join us Easter morning at 6:45 a.m. on the Fellowship Terrace for an Easter Sunrise Service as the sun comes up. This service will include singing, prayers and devotion. As the sun shines forth we will carry the light of Christ into the Sanctuary and then gather in the Fellowship Hall for a continental breakfast and fellowship.

The service is casual and you will still have time to return later in your new Easter outfits for the regular Easter morning services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Traditional Worship Service with Communion:
8:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary
We will celebrate the Risen Christ with songs of joy, Word, and Holy Communion.

Contemporary Worship Service:
11:00 a.m. in Hinton Hall
The worship band, technical team, prayer team and pastors will be energized and ready to join with you in the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Traditional Worship Service:
11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary
At the Traditional Worship service, the music will be as glorious as the day deserves with the choir lifting praises to God, ending with our annual Easter acclamation, Handel’s “Hallelujah!” chorus.

Childcare will be available for the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services on Easter morning.
