Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bible Study - “This I Know for Sure”: Begins October 12th
Begins Thursday, October 12th
The Thursday morning ladies’ Bible Study will begin studying Babbie Mason’s book This I Know for Sure on October 12th. Do you have a longing to know God more intimately? Do you desire a rock-solid faith to believe God for the challenges you are facing, regardless of how you may feel?
Based on This I Know For Sure, this six-week Bible study by award-winning Gospel singer-songwriter and Bible teacher Babbie Mason challenges you to examine your personal relationship with God, make up your mind to believe God’s Word, regardless of your feelings or circumstances, and take hold of some non-negotiable principles of the faith. Whether you are wrestling with questions or fears, struggling in your relationships, or facing a health, financial, or other crisis, these principles will enable you to trust God with your doubts, cease your wavering, and drive a spiritual stake of faith in the ground.
The This I Know for Sure study will meet in rooms F-146/147 at 10 a.m. Please contact Fran Hearn McGee by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 678-773-5107 to reserve a study guide, which cost $15 each. We should complete this study before Thanksgiving.
Coming in January, the Thursday morning ladies’ Bible study will be based on the book Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. The Boundaries study will be a 9-week study.
Single on Sunday Adult Sunday School Class to Begin “Covenant with God” Series on September 3rd
Begins Sunday, September 3rd
On September 3rd, the S.O.S. (Single on Sunday) Adult Sunday School Class began a 3-month series of lessons focusing on how God demonstrates His everlasting love through the covenants He makes with humanity. Entitled “Covenant with God”, the series comes from The Standard Lesson Commentary, the nation’s most popular Bible study resource for more than twenty years.
In September, each lesson will highlight “Signs From God” that accompany His covenants. During the month of October, the study covers “Servants of God”, key historical figures from the Old Testament. Finally in November, the “Son of God” lessons address the distinctive qualities of the NEW covenant in Jesus Christ... and why New is Better!
Each lesson features printed Scripture from the New International Version, verse-by-verse explanation of the Bible text, detailed lesson background, and discussion starters. Taken together, the lessons will provide a broad sampling of what both the Old and New Testaments have to teach us about God’s Love... along with plenty of time for discussion.
The S.O.S. Class is a fun-loving group that will welcome visitors who may want to join in this lesson series! We sit “in circle” in a relaxed environment, we value each other’s differences, and our goal is to help one another to better know Christ. The class meets during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday School hour in Room F-150, located on the 1st floor of the Family Life Center, back corner.

Sunday mornings; 11 am in room F-151
The Crossroads Sunday School Class (formerly the Agape Class) is a class generally geared toward adults -- single, married, and married with children -- ages 20’s through early 40’s, but all are welcomed. Our focus is Bible study and family social time. The initial class approach will be a deeper dive into one or more of the scripture passages from the services each Sunday, allowing everyone the greatest possible flexibility to drop in at any time without feeling behind.
The Crossroads Class meets at 11:00 a.m. in room F-151, located on the 1st floor of the Family Life Center. We hope you’ll join us in making the Crossroads Class something that is spiritually and socially fulfilling.
